5 Bicolanos in Top 10 of mining engineering exam

Legazpi City- Five Bicolanos dominated this year’s mining engineering licensure examination administered by the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) this month.

Four students from Bicol University (BU) and one from the University of the Philippines (UP) were at the Top 10 of the result as published by the PRC in its web site.

Based on the results released by the PRC, Harvey Moraleda Rosin was at second place with 88.55 rating, Jan Enry Obar Rumbaoa was at third place with 88.25,  Nathalie Jewel Medalla Marcial at fourth place with 87.80 and Atilla Jean Bermundo Imperial was at  eighth place with 87.55 rating, all from BU, while Rafael Ryan Bono Aguilana of the University of the Philippines (UP) was also at third place.

Rosin, Marcial and Imperial are all from Legazpi City, Albay while Rumbaoa and Aguilana have their roots from Magallanes, Sorsogon.

The five were among the 214 passers out of the 290 examinees who took the computer-based licensure exam which was topped by an Adamson University (AdU) graduate, Ramonaliza Pasamante Soyud.

Others in the Top 10 were Hanz Lorenzo Ancheta Reyes at fifth place and Ma. Dhea Angeline Austria Bernardo at 6th place  both from the UP,Sean Jericho Bahilango Tan at seventh place from AdU, Jemaimah Ruvie Domincel Costales of UP at ninth place and Ivy Marize Camugao Najarro of the University of Souther Philippines-Davao City at tenth place.
